Green Initiatives

From treeless paper to soy-based inks, we make going green a priority. In addition to being FSC, SFI, and PEFC Certified, Minuteman Press thinks green even in our day-to-day operations. This includes recycling all paper products, not using bottled water, controlling our energy usage, and encouraging our employees to think green as well.

Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Certified

Landowners and companies that sell timber or forest products seek certification as a way to verify to consumers that they have practiced forestry consistent with FSC standards. Independent, certification organizations are accredited by FSC to carry out assessments of forest management to determine if standards have been met. These certifiers also verify that companies claiming to sell FSC certified products have tracked their supply back to FSC certified sources. This chain of custody certification assures that consumers can trust the FSC label.

Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Certified

The SFI 2010-2014 Standard promotes sustainable forest management in North America through 14 core principles that promote sustainable forest management, including measures to protect water quality, biodiversity, wildlife habitat, species at risk, and Forests with Exceptional Conservation Value. There are also 20 objectives, 38 performance measures and 115 indicators, developed by professional foresters, conservationists, scientists and others.

The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest (PEFC) Certified

Dedicated to promoting Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) through independent third-party certification. PEFC works throughout the entire forest supply chain to promote good practice in the forest and to ensure that timber and non-timber forest products are produced with respect for the highest ecological, social and ethical standards. Thanks to its eco-label, customers and consumers are able to identify products from sustainably managed forests.
